“After having catered to the destination wedding market through our community, We are now looking at extending our platform to geographies such as the Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai, and Singapore,” says the Post Graduated, who started Shaadi Baraati in 2019"

The idea is to have dedicated platforms for each of these geographies where local buyers and sellers can connect for all their wedding needs. Thirty-three-year-old Pargat points out that the company’s growth has been completely through word-of-mouth. He believes that an already served and satisfied customer base would help spread the word in other Metro Cities.

Shaadibaraati.com has served several NRI clients within India, and has catered to overseas destination weddings as well.

The journey

After completing his BBA in Marketing & Finance Dayanand Sagar Institutions in Bangalore on 2010, Pargat worked in Sales Professional in Gupshup Technology for a while. In 2012, He decided to get an MBA and did PGDM from Indus Business Academy, Bangalore and After having equipped herself with business smarts, He joined Getit Infomedia in Bangalore. Here, Pargat handled the corporate division where he would sell the company’s Online Listing Products to corporate clients and later in 2016 he joint Bharat Matrimony under Matrimony directory division where he was handling a team for vendor on boarding.  As he built a relationship with these corporate, they started to call him with wedding-related requests for their children and relatives. He realized this was an unexplored market with a huge opportunity and started Shaadi Baraati at 2019, Currently physically operating in 3 cities namely Bangalore, Delhi & Indore and handling telepathically other major 27 cities in India.
